This instrument is designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements stipulated in T 0722-1993 “Test for Asphalt Content in Asphalt Mixture (Centrifugal Separation Method)” of the “Test Procedures for Bitumen and Bituminous Mixture in Highway Engineering” (JTJ 052-2000) of the People’s Republic of China. It uses the centrifugal separation method to determine the asphalt content (or oil-to-stone ratio) in asphalt mixtures made with viscous petroleum asphalt. It is suitable for on-site rapid detection by construction supervisors, asphalt mixture manufacturers and construction units in road engineering.
